The Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention, Intervention and Treatment (CAPIT) Program services help to prevent and treat child abuse and neglect.

The array of services are designed to strengthen family unity, nurture the development of healthy behaviors, improve parental resilience, reinforce knowledge of parenting and child development, create social connections, develop concrete supports in times of need, and increase the social/emotional competence of children. Our Parenting Education & Support Group and Fatherhood Group curriculum is evidence-based and meets court-ordered requirements for DCFS.

The CAPIT program provides the following services:

  • Individual, Couples, Family and Group Counseling
  • Case Management and Resource Linkage
  • Certified Parenting Education
  • Fatherhood Groups
  • Support Groups
