An evidence-based program that is provided in-home. It is an intensive, family-oriented, and strength-based model designed to target problem behaviors of youth in the Juvenile Justice system. The program provides interventions designed to help the youth and the family make changes in the youth’s social ecology that have contributed to anti-social behavior. This includes collaboration with the family, school, community, peers, and the individual youth himself

Services include:

  • Assessment
  • Individual therapy
  • Collateral therapy
  • Family therapy

Youth must be:

  • Age 12 – 17
  • Currently on probation
  • Medi-Cal Insurance
  • At risk for recidivism or out of home placement

Referrals to the Juvenile Justice Program are made by:

  • Parent/guardian or primary care giver
  • Probation officer
  • Police
  • School
  • Other community agencies

Case Management is offered to increase linkage to services while in detention and in preparation for the youth’s return to the community or new placement. Substance abuse services are offered to support youth in attaining sobriety, developing coping skills, and increasing access and utilization of supports in the facility and in the community. Consultations, psycho-education, and discharge planning services are offered to help support the youth and family in preparing for discharge and reintegration into the community

Funded through Probation, Schiff Cardenas and the Mental Health Services Act.
