The Center’s Older Adult Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) program was invited to present at the City of Glendale’s Commission on the Status of Women about Mental Health and Aging. The meeting was broadcast live on Channel 6 (GTV6) and has since been rebroadcast.

Marcos Lopez, Ph.D., Registered Psychologist and Mental Health Clinician with the Older Adult PEI program, presented to the Commission on how to recognize the signs and symptoms of depression and other mental health issues that affect this population and why seeking treatment can and will help.

There is still a stigma associated with mental health issues, particularly with this population. So, please take a moment to view the video, share this link and learn more about how Older Adults can get help dealing with these issues.
